Tom & Sarah Hartman

Madison County, Indiana

About the Farm

The Hartman family has been working the same stretch of Madison County land since Tom's grandfather first broke ground here in 1952. What began as a diversified operation raising everything from corn to hogs has evolved, over three generations, into something more intentional: pure, grass-fed Angus beef raised the way cattle are meant to live.

Tom and Sarah took over the farm in 2009 and made the decision to go fully grass-fed, transitioning away from grain finishing to let the land do the work. Today, their herd of about 60 Angus cattle roam 280 acres of rolling pasture, rotating through paddocks to mimic natural grazing patterns. The result is beef with real flavor: rich, complex, and honest.

They sell direct. Halves, quarters, and individual cuts available seasonally. No grocery stores. No middlemen.
