Good Earth Family Farm

Karl and Ruth Schultz have been farming together for over 25 years, and Good Earth Family Farm is the living result of everything they've learned. Located just outside West Lafayette on 160 acres, the operation is one of the most genuinely diversified farms in Tippecanoe County: cattle, hogs, laying hens, and a large market garden, all on the same piece of land, each enterprise feeding the others.

The cattle graze rotationally. The pigs follow behind, rooting and aerating. The chickens come through after the pigs, scratching through the manure and disrupting pest cycles. The vegetable garden runs on compost generated by all of it. This is farming as ecosystem, not assembly line.

Good Earth sells through a flexible mixed-share CSA where members can customize their box, with options like just eggs and beef, or a full seasonal share with produce, pork, and more. They also sell at the West Lafayette Farmers Market year-round and welcome visitors to the farm by appointment.
